We are closely monitoring the state protocols for outdoor gatherings. If anything changes, attendees will be notified by May 10th as needed. If possible, we ask all attendees to get tested for COVID-19 at least 3 days prior to arriving at the festival site. We understand everyone needs to make the best decision for themselves in this current situation. Even if you are vaccinated, masks will still be required when gathering with other attendees outside your camp space. Please review the following restrictions/accommodations for this year's festival. There is also an additional waiver that must be completed and turned in along with the standard event waiver.
Due to current county-wide restrictions, attendance will be limited to 75 guests this year.
Masks will be required at all workshops and while browsing vendor booths. While visiting others at their campsites, mask requirements are up to inhabitant's discretion.
To maintain social distancing, we will not be doing a traditional Maypole this year. Instead, each guest will create "Beltaine Batons" to use and take home with them. Also, offerings which normally go into the hole can be burned in the ceremonial Bel-Fire (natural/burnable items only please). Further details are included in the Schedule of Events for May 15th.
Choosing of the May Queen and King:
Those who wish to step forward for May Queen must already be partnered with their prospective consort since the couple must consummate their union upon being chosen.
Instead of having our normal Friday night potluck dinner before Bardic Circle, we will have a communal gathering around the ceremonial fire where attendees bring their own separate meals. This will give everyone an opportunity to feast and converse with one another while maintaining social distancing.
Piñatas and Pagan Games:
To maintain social distancing, we will be hosting a Photo Scavenger Hunt for all ages instead of our traditional games and piñatas. Prizes will contain kid-appropriate and adult-oriented goodies, respectively.
